Functieomschrijving

Als detailgerichte QA Engineer bij Elfsquad speel je een cruciale rol in het waarborgen van de betrouwbaarheid, prestaties en beveiliging van ons SaaS-platform. Als onderdeel van ons engineeringteam werk je samen met ontwikkelaars, productmanagers en klantensuccesteams om hoogwaardige software te leveren die voldoet aan de complexe behoeften van productieorganisaties.

Belangrijkste verantwoordelijkheden

• Ontwikkel, voer uit en onderhoud testplannen, testcases en testscripts voor web- en API-gebaseerde applicaties.
• Voer handmatige en geautomatiseerde tests uit om de functionaliteit, prestaties en schaalbaarheid te valideren.
• Werk samen met ontwikkelaars en productmanagers om de vereisten en acceptatiecriteria te verduidelijken.
• Softwarefouten identificeren, documenteren en volgen, en zorgen voor een tijdige oplossing.
• Ontwikkel en onderhoud geautomatiseerde testsuites om de regressiedekking en het vertrouwen in releases te vergroten.
• Werk met CI/CD-pipelines om geautomatiseerd testen te integreren.
• Zorg voor naleving van de normen voor beveiliging en gegevensintegriteit, met name voor dataworkflows in de productieomgeving.
• Draag bij aan de continue verbetering van QA-processen, -tools en -best practices.

Wat wij vereisen

• Minimaal 3 jaar ervaring in softwarekwaliteitsborging binnen een SaaS-omgeving (ervaring in de productie- of industriële sector is een pré).
• Gedegen kennis van QA-methodologieën, -tools en -processen.
• Praktische ervaring met geautomatiseerde testframeworks (bijv. Selenium, Cypress, Playwright of vergelijkbare frameworks).
• Vaardigheid in het schrijven van SQL-query's en het werken met API's.
• Sterke communicatieve vaardigheden en het vermogen om effectief samen te werken met verschillende teams.
• Vaardigheid in het gebruik van AI-tools en -technologieën, en het vermogen om AI in te zetten voor testen, automatisering en procesoptimalisatie.

Fijn om te hebben

• Kennis van ERP/MES of andere productiesystemen.
• Ervaring met tools voor prestatie-/belastingstesten (bijv. JMeter, Locust).
• Ervaring met cloudplatformen (AWS, Azure of GCP).
• ISTQB- of gelijkwaardige kwaliteitsborgingscertificering.
• Bekendheid met CI/CD-tools (bijv. Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Ervaring met het testen van SaaS-applicaties op bedrijfsniveau met complexe dataworkflows.

Job Description

As a detail-oriented QA Engineer at Elfsquad you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our SaaS platform. As part of our engineering team, you will collaborate with developers, product managers, and customer success teams to deliver high-quality software that meets the complex needs of manufacturing organizations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web and API-based applications.
• Perform manual and automated testing to validate functionality, performance, and scalability.
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Identify, document, and track software defects, ensuring timely resolution.
• Build and maintain automated test suites to improve regression coverage and release confidence.
• Work with CI/CD pipelines to integrate automated testing.
• Ensure compliance with security and data integrity standards, especially for manufacturing data workflows.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in QA processes, tools, and best practices.

What We Require

• 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance within a SaaS environment (manufacturing or industrial domain a plus).
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar).
• Proficiency in writing SQL queries and working with APIs.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
• Proficiency with AI tools and technologies, and the ability to leverage AI in testing, automation, and process optimization.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of ERP/MES or other manufacturing systems.
• Experience with performance/load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Locust).
