WRKtour brings Frisian businesses and students together
The very first WRKtour was a resounding success, with both Frisian businesses and students from further and higher education enjoying a fantastic day. On this special day, students were given a unique opportunity to get to know various companies in the region and discover the career opportunities available to them.
The WRKtour provided an excellent opportunity for students to take a look behind the scenes at Frisian companies. The participating companies – Batenburg Beenen, IJssel Technologie and Horjus Paneel & Meubel – opened their doors and showcased their expertise to the enthusiastic students. The aim of the event was to inspire the students and make them aware of the many exciting opportunities available within the Frisian labour market.
Throughout the day, the students were immersed in a variety of corporate cultures and had the opportunity to ask questions, attend a training session on personal branding and engage in conversation with professionals in their field. This led to valuable encounters and sparked a lively exchange of knowledge and experience.
Both the participating companies and the students were enthusiastic about the WRKtour. For the companies, the event provided an opportunity to meet potential talent and present themselves as attractive employers. The students, for their part, were impressed by the wide range of career opportunities offered by Frisian companies. For many, the WRKtour opened new doors and offered prospects for their future careers.
