WRK.frl/ offers a wide range of features. How does it all work? And how can you make the most of the employer profile, the matching tool, the internship and traineeship board, and the automated job vacancy crawler? Watch our videos or take a moment to read through the information at your leisure!

Employer profile

A good employer profile helps you stand out to job seekers and other companies and organisations. And it’s really easy! You choose your own corporate colour, can literally put yourself ‘on the map’ via your location(s), and can easily add the Sustainable Development Goals that your organisation contributes to. This is particularly relatable to the younger target group, as these goals are considered very important and are frequently incorporated into school curricula.

"We've made it easy for you to quickly enhance your employer profile. This means that even smaller organisations can present themselves in an attractive way."

Through the employer profiles, we aim to show that there are plenty of job opportunities and great companies and organisations in Friesland, so you can build your entire career here. At the bottom of this page, you’ll find all the practical information on how the employer profile works.

Job vacancies

As a company, you can post job vacancies on WRK.frl/ to recruit your own colleagues. You can create the vacancy in your employer profile; it will then appear as ‘pending’ in our system. The vacancy will then be approved and, once that has happened, it will be visible on the platform. And the great thing is: all vacancies via WRK.frl/ are automatically discoverable via Google Jobs. So that means extra visibility for all Google users! And, let’s face it, who isn’t a Google user?

It is important to note that we do not have access to applicants’ details. The responsibility for responding to applications therefore lies entirely with employers. WRK.frl/ is therefore unable to contact jobseekers.

Automatic job vacancy scraper

From now on, you can also have job vacancies posted automatically via the job vacancy scraper. We are working on automatically scraping all companies that create an account. Every night, all new job vacancies listed on the job vacancies page of your own website will be collected and posted to WRK.frl/. In this way, we aim to keep the job vacancies on WRK.frl/ constantly up to date, so you, as an employer, no longer have to worry about it!

Match Tool

The Matchtool from WRK.frl/ was developed by 150 young professionals and HR managers. The Matchtool contains questions that these experts believe are important for determining whether a company culture matches the expectations of job seekers. The Matchtool is constantly evolving and is regularly updated with new questions. Curious to know how the Matchtool works? You can always try it out for yourself. Do you match with your own organisation?

Try the match tool yourself
Invullen matchtool bedrijven en werknemers

With the Match Tool, jobseekers can quickly get an overview of the companies and organisations that are a good fit for them, based on organisational culture, structure and values.

By matching at company level, you get better, more sustainable matches, as a company culture lasts much longer than a specific role. Traditional job adverts often provide little insight into this, even though job seekers consider it to be very important.

"Two-thirds of jobseekers consider company culture to be the most important factor when looking for a new job."

And the great thing is: the Matching Tool can also be used as an entry ticket for events. For example, at the GoGetters North event, the Matching Tool was used to determine which employers and jobseekers would be paired up in the escape room. Would you like to give it a go? You can! We’d be happy to help via info@wrk.frl.

Fancy a cup of coffee?

WRK.frl/ is here to break down all the barriers between jobseekers and great employers in Friesland. That’s why we’ve added a super-easy feature: get in touch for a cup of coffee! Imagine: a jobseeker has filled in the Match Tool. And right at the top is your company! Then they can easily click through to your employer profile. After reading more information, that jobseeker is certain: I’d really like to get to know this company. Let’s have a coffee!

The ‘Coffee’ button on the employer profile makes it super easy for jobseekers to get in touch with your company. And those awkward introductory meetings are a thing of the past. Because the matching tool is the perfect way to kick off a good conversation and find out why you’ve been matched! Say goodbye to those sky-high barriers and welcome lots of new, great employees. You can switch the ‘Coffee Break’ button on and off yourself via your dashboard.

Internship and traineeship noticeboard

During the start-up phase, we spoke to a huge number of students, and they all say that finding an internship or traineeship in Friesland is incredibly difficult, causing them a great deal of stress. The whole class then heads to the Randstad for work placements, because ‘there’s nothing to be found’ here. But that’s not true! And it’s a real shame, because getting to know great companies whilst you’re studying is key to building your career in Friesland.

An old-fashioned noticeboard like the ones you used to see in supermarkets, but in digital form.

That is exactly the gap we aim to fill with the internship and traineeship noticeboard. This noticeboard removes all the barriers in between and puts students in direct contact with companies, and vice versa. Both students and companies can use the noticeboard to post what they are looking for and what they have to offer.

How does it work? The noticeboard features posts from people looking for an internship or traineeship, and posts from employers seeking interns or trainees. If, as an employer, you see an interesting intern or trainee, you can easily respond by leaving your contact details. You must be logged in to do this. This contact information is sent directly to the student or poster. The same applies the other way round, when a student responds to your internship vacancy. The responsibility for making contact subsequently lies with the person who posted the advertisement. WRK.frl/ is not involved in this! We have no access to the personal information shared by the employer, intern or trainee, other than the public advertisement that is posted.

You post an internship vacancy in the same way as a regular vacancy, but you tick "internship" under job type.

And now: let’s get started! You’ll find all the practical information below.

Employer profile

You can add the following to your employer profile. There are several pages in the dashboard that you can fill in.

Page 1: Company structure

  • Brand colour: this must be entered as a HEX colour code. (Examples: #B0171F, #FFFFFF or #2288A4)
  • Company logo: you can add your company logo here. JPG, PNG and SVG file formats are accepted.
  • Employer cover image: this is optional, but we recommend that you do include one. A nice photo of your company or organisation, ideally featuring some of your colleagues, gives a friendly and approachable impression.
  • Image/video slider: you can add as many photos and videos as you like to this slider. Click on ‘Image’ or ‘Video’. For images, select a file; for videos, paste the embedded URL from YouTube. How do you do that? Let’s take the WRKLab video as an example. This is the link that appears in your address bar when you copy it directly from YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/PFqGXUTEq9o. You can create an embedded URL by adding the bolded part of the link to the following: https://www.youtube.com/embed/. Together, this becomes: https://www.youtube.com/embed/PFqGXUTEq9o.
  • You can also give the slider a title, such as ‘This is what it’s like to work at [your organisation’s name]’. The slider title is not mandatory.

Page 2: general information

  • Organisation name
  • Introduction: this text appears in bold at the top of the employer profile and is the first thing job seekers will read. Make sure it’s a compelling piece of text that immediately grabs job seekers’ attention.
  • Summary: This text is not displayed in full here. It is intended to provide further information about the company. For example: why it’s so great to work for this organisation.
  • Telephone: you can optionally add the company’s telephone number here.
  • Website: you can add your (careers) website here, so that jobseekers can easily find your own website. It’s important to fill this in correctly for the scraper, so always enter the website where your job vacancies are listed.
  • Email address for receiving applications: you can enter the email address to which applications should be sent here. We recommend choosing a more general email address where possible, such as vacancies@examplemail.frl or hr@examplemail.frl.
  • General email address (visible on the employer profile). We recommend using a more general email address here, such as info@examplemail.frl.
  • Allow open applications? You can enable or disable this button. If you enable it, a section will appear on the employer profile where job seekers can submit their open applications.
  • Fancy a cup of coffee? Would you like job seekers to be able to contact you easily? Toggle this switch so that job seekers can easily email you their name and email address or phone number, allowing you to get in touch with them yourself.

Page 3: business locations

  • Location name: enter the name of the location here. This could be the address or the town or city name. It is important to enter this correctly.
  • Head office: you can switch this on or off. If you have multiple locations, we recommend specifying which address is the head office.
  • Telephone: you can enter a telephone number here if you wish.
  • Location: enter the company’s address here.

Page 4: Work experience placements

  • Location (municipality): enter the municipality or municipalities where the company is located here. The job vacancies you post will automatically be tagged with this information. For example, if someone visits the Harlingen municipal website to look at job vacancies in the municipality, your vacancy may appear among the results.
  • Sector: enter the sector(s) in which the company operates.
  • If a company is interested in international candidates or English-speaking talent, you can select the 'internationals welcome' tag here.
  • Sustainable Development Goals: countries are implementing the SDGs at both national and international level. If your company is working towards any of these goals, you can add this to your employer profile. For more information, please visit the SDG Netherlands website.
  • Company size: you can enter the size of the company here if you wish.

Frequently asked questions

If you change any information in the dashboard, you must always click the "Update Profile" button. This blue button is located at the very bottom right of the page.

As a company, you can post your job vacancies on WRK.frl/. You can create the vacancy in your company profile; it will then appear in our system as ‘pending’. The vacancy will then be approved, and once that has happened, it will be visible on the platform.

Every job vacancy has an application form that forwards applications directly to the email address you have provided. As an employer on WRK.frl/, you are responsible for ensuring that the correct email address in our system is kept up to date. You can check this and update it where necessary via your employer profile. It is also possible to include the employer’s email address in a job vacancy. WRK.frl/ has no access to the information sent by applicants and cannot recover lost information or information sent to an incorrect email address.

Why apply via a form?

Simpler and faster processing of applications
We send you all the applicant’s details in a single, clear email. This means you have the CV, cover letter and contact details conveniently in one place. And every email looks the same. This ensures simple processing of applications.

Consistent and user-friendly experience
Applicants don’t have to fill in complicated forms or navigate through multiple pages. Everything is clear and easy to use, which lowers the barrier to applying.

✅ More applications
Applying becomes simpler and faster. And that naturally results in more applicants. This increases your chances of finding suitable candidates.

Check your account details

WRK.frl/ has the largest internship board in Friesland for both vocational and higher vocational students. Just as with job vacancies, WRK.frl/ can automatically post all internships on behalf of many employers. And, of course, employers can also post their own internship vacancies. Post a vacancy as you normally would, tick the ‘internship’ box, and your vacancy will appear immediately on the internship noticeboard (subject to approval). In addition, students can also post an internship request. Employers can view these requests and easily have their contact details forwarded to the student. It is then up to the student to contact the employer. WRK.frl/ has no access to the information sent.

Internship Board

WRK.frl/ does not have access to applicants’ details. We are unable to contact these jobseekers.

WRK.frl/ has no insight into responses to job applications, coffee meetings or other potential points of contact between jobseekers and employers. If a company fails to respond to a job application, a coffee meeting or any other form of contact, the responsibility lies with the company itself. It is always possible that an email from a potential applicant has ended up in the spam folder; we therefore recommend checking your spam folder regularly.

WRK.frl/ uses a job listing scraper. This scraper allows us to retrieve job listings directly from 90% of employers’ websites and repost them on WRK.frl/. Before we repost a job vacancy, we check it manually to ensure that everything is correct. We are continuing to improve this system so that we can scrape data from an increasing number of employers. With the scraper, you no longer need to worry about it yourself, but you can always choose to post job vacancies manually (as well).

We are unable to scrape all websites for the following reason:

  • The website’s design prevents effective scraping.
  • PDFs can sometimes be difficult to extract.
  • The technical structure of the website is unsuitable.
  • Scraping is often impossible for employers who offer job vacancies from third parties, such as temporary employment agencies, recruiters, intermediaries, etc.

Using the Matchtool on WRK.frl/, jobseekers can answer a series of questions to see exactly which employers are a good fit for them in terms of corporate culture. Employers can enter their answers to these questions in their employer dashboard. This ensures that the initial contact between employers and jobseekers gets off to a good start, as jobseekers already know a great deal about the corporate culture and can see that it matches their expectations.

All employers listed on WRK.frl/ may only post their internal job vacancies. This means that recruiters, employment agencies and temporary employment agencies may only post vacancies for their organisations, for example for a recruitment consultant at a branch of a temporary employment agency.

  1. Go to your dashboard and click on ‘Job vacancies’. You will then see all the vacancies currently open at your organisation.
  2. Click on ‘Edit job’ to edit the vacancy you wish to close.
  3. Look for the following field: ‘When should the vacancy be taken offline?’
