The labour shortage: how did it come about and what can we expect in Friesland over the coming years? In any case, with 44,800 fewer Frisians, we’ll have to get more work done in the years ahead. That’s why we’re building a bridge between jobseekers and Frisian employers. And we’re showing that this is a fantastic place to live, work and enjoy life. Because… in Friesland you’ll find the happiest people in Europe, as well as really great jobs and employers!

We’re a non-profit organisation that provides a direct link between jobseekers and employers throughout Friesland. No beating about the bush – just honest and straightforward. At the same time, we show just how lovely it is here. Because Friesland isn’t just a great place to work, but also a great place to live. We bring students, new entrants to the job market and professionals together with Frisian employers. Big names and hidden gems alike. This is how we make the Frisian labour market visible and accessible. For everyone. WRK.frl/ is part of Economic Board Fryslân (EBF), a broad collaboration between businesses, education, government and institutions. Together, we ensure that talent can develop and stay here.

The WRKLab

The WRKLab is a key part of our educational offering and a place where learning and working truly come together. Together with NHL Stenden, Firda and Campus Fryslân, we have created an environment in which students not only acquire knowledge but also apply it straight away.  In this way, students gain valuable practical experience, whilst businesses benefit from the knowledge and skills of a group of young and enthusiastic students tackling a real-world business challenge.
