Vermilion Energy Netherlands B.V. is a subsidiary of the Canadian company Vermilion Energy Inc. and supplies natural gas to Dutch households and businesses. As we transition to renewable energy, we cannot yet do without natural gas as a reliable energy source. Natural gas makes the transition to renewable energy both feasible and affordable.
Vermilion Energy produces natural gas from small fields for Dutch households and businesses. Vermilion operates in small gas fields in a safe and responsible manner. We do this in accordance with strict standards and using modern techniques. Vermilion employs around 120 people across the Netherlands, mainly in Friesland. As an employer, we employ people directly. In addition, our activities create jobs at other organisations, such as maintenance companies.
And we do more. We believe it is important to go the extra mile for the regions in which we operate. For example, by getting involved in voluntary work. Or through our Community Fund for local sustainability projects.
