Thús Wonen is a housing association with deep roots in the ‘mienskip’ of North-East Friesland. We feel a strong connection to this beautiful region and the people who live here. Being there for our tenants is a top priority for us. We aim to work together with colleagues and other stakeholders to ensure our tenants enjoy a high quality of life. We value collaboration, listening to one another, and fostering a pleasant working atmosphere. We also believe in learning by doing and using our common sense to find practical solutions.
We provide a pleasant place to live where people feel at home. We do this, amongst other things, by improving our homes and making them more sustainable. Sometimes this also involves demolishing existing homes and building new ones. In doing so, we take into account the affordability and quality of the homes. All of this is carried out within our financial means. We reach agreements on these matters with the local authorities and the tenants’ association, De Bewonersraad. In this way, we ensure affordable, pleasant and sustainable housing, so that both the current and the next generation feel at home in Noordoost-Fryslân.
