We are the leading pathology centre in Friesland and (part of) the Noordoostpolder.
We provide diagnostic services to all hospitals and GPs in Friesland, making us one of the largest independent pathology institutions in the Netherlands. Pathology is a dynamic, forward-thinking and technically advanced field. That is why we look beyond our own organisation and are active in larger networks, including the PathologieNoord cooperative. We work with a team of 90 proud employees, including 14 clinical pathologists and 1 clinical molecular biologist, who collaborate in a motivated and committed manner within an informal setting.
WHAT DO WE DO?
In our laboratory, we carry out tissue (histology) and cell examinations (cytology). This material is examined using a microscope or digital images. Analysts ensure that everything is prepared correctly. The pathologist and/or cytology analyst then makes the diagnosis. The pathologist plays a key role in drawing up a treatment plan for the patient.
