| The companies within the SMI Group are divided into three divisions. Each division focuses on a specific market with its own services and/or products. The parent group acts as a unifying force, ensuring the group’s economic strength and facilitating the sharing and optimal use of knowledge, experience and resources.
SMI Manufacturing is the group’s production arm and specialises in high-quality metalworking. We are a proactive supplier that stands out not only for our quality but also for the diversity of our work, ranging from small-scale to large-scale machining and from sheet metal work to heavy structural engineering. SMI Maritime comprises three brands active in (super)yacht building: Cramm, Hydromar and Swissway. These companies design, manufacture and supply solutions for yachts to facilitate the embarkation and disembarkation of people and goods. With these brands, we offer high-end custom, semi-custom and standard yacht solutions, thereby serving the entire market. In addition, through Nieland, we supply shipbuilding presses used to produce the moulded sections of a ship’s hull and to bend frames. Finally, Cramm HLS develops and supplies helicopter landing platforms for use on board ships. These enable a helicopter to land safely and secure itself to the deck. SMI Security is committed to improving access control by detecting prohibited and/or dangerous objects with high accuracy both on and within the body. This leads to increased security within buildings and a reduced risk of dangerous situations in, for example, prisons. |
