Royal Smilde is a Frisian family business, founded in 1863 and having grown into an international company with three business units, six production sites in the Netherlands and sales organisations in Belgium, France, Germany and the UK. Our head office is in Heerenveen and Royal Smilde employs a total of 700 satisfied staff.
Royal Smilde’s products are supplied to the food industry, the retail sector and the foodservice market. With over 1,800 different products, we reach customers and consumers in 60 countries. All our products are developed and manufactured in our own factories
Royal Smilde has been an international family-run business since 1863.
Royal Smilde specialises in developing and producing high-quality solutions featuring margarines, oils, fats, salads, sauces and bakery products. These products are supplied to the food industry, the retail sector and the foodservice market in over 60 countries.
We develop and manufacture in our own factories and are fully certified to the latest food safety standards (IFS Higher Level). Respect for our environment and resources is second nature at Royal Smilde.
