The history of our traditional Frisian ‘head-neck-body’ farmhouse dates back over 100 years. The name is taken from the Blikvaart, part of the famous Elfstedentocht.
Over the years, we’ve been able to bring joy to many people with all the wonderful things to be found here. And every year, there’s something new to discover.
The campsite with holiday homes and the group accommodation are situated directly behind our own farm and on the famous Blikvaart. The surroundings encourage people to get active, relax or find inspiration. Discover the most beautiful spots in this part of Friesland from our small-scale holiday park. No one will be bored here for even a second.
The history of our typical Frisian ‘kop-hals-romp’ farmhouse goes back more than 100 years. The name is taken from the Blikvaart, part of the famous Elfstedentocht. The farm was used as a dairy farm until 2001. Fortunately, there are still animals here and children love to ride along on the tractor with Afke. De Blikvaart is a modern leisure centre offering plenty of opportunities for families, groups, family celebrations and all kinds of corporate events.
Sint Annaparochie is a lively village in the north-west of Friesland, with plenty of shops. Franeker, Harlingen and Leeuwarden are just a 20-minute drive away. The area along the Wadden Sea (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) offers plenty of space for active recreation. A day trip to one of the Wadden Islands is also possible. In short, plenty of opportunities for young and old!
