It seeks to deepen understanding by covering themes consistently and reliably and providing people with context. Speaking the right language
Frisian is the second official language of the Netherlands, and Omrop Fryslân is proud of that. Frisian is therefore the language of communication. All presenters and reporters use Frisian as their first language. This also applies to the rest of the broadcaster and is reflected in all of Omrop Fryslân’s communications. We want to be the broadcaster for all residents of Fryslân, and by harnessing the power and beauty of the language, Omrop Fryslân invites non-Frisian speakers to join in the enjoyment.
