NTCP in Heerenveen is an independent knowledge and innovation centre dedicated to improving the recycling of plastic waste.
With unique industrial-scale facilities for characterisation, sorting and washing, NTCP conducts applied research at a relevant scale to further accelerate the circular plastics market. We are investigating how we can recover more material from waste streams and how we can ensure sufficiently high quality to reuse it. To this end, we are investigating how plastics from waste streams can be better sorted, washed and recycled. The centre supports the entire plastics chain—from packaging manufacturers to recyclers—driven by data and applied research.
