Merk Fryslân is the official destination management organisation for the province of Friesland.
Friesland is a wonderful place to live, work, study and enjoy leisure activities. And as a committed Frisian organisation, we naturally want to keep it that way. We do this by encouraging and promoting tourism, leisure and business events.
Our focus is on meaningful visits: guests who appreciate our nature, culture and mienskip (community) and treat them with respect. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) serve as our guiding principle in this regard.
We ensure a spread of visitors across regions and throughout the year, and we help businesses, public authorities and educational institutions to make the most of the opportunities offered by tourism and business events.
