With a focus on connectivity, innovation and conservation, we are involved in numerous inspiring and essential projects in an advisory and organisational capacity. We do everything in our power to contribute to a robust and biodiverse cultural landscape, with a focus on cultural history, accessibility and regional character. Landschapsbeheer Friesland is the representative of the Frisian landscape. We safeguard the cultural-historical heritage and link it to innovation.

We promote the biodiversity of landscapes. We monitor quality and identify opportunities and threats. We give the landscape a powerful voice by engaging residents, businesses and other stakeholders, and by raising awareness of its value. We aim to ensure that the Frisian landscape has a sustainable future.

Working at Landschapsbeheer Fryslân

Working at Landschapsbeheer Friesland means you are committed to the beautiful Frisian landscape. This can involve all kinds of tasks and projects. Together with residents, farmers, other nature organisations and public authorities, we work on projects that preserve and improve the Frisian cultural landscape. You won’t be doing this alone. You will often be working in a project team with a number of colleagues. These may be fellow staff members or employees from other organisations with whom we collaborate closely.

Landschapsbeheer Friesland employs motivated professionals with expert knowledge and a fresh outlook. The team consists of 15 enthusiastic individuals from a variety of backgrounds and age groups. The atmosphere in our office is informal, and various activities are organised outside of work. In addition, there is ample opportunity for personal development through training and/or courses.

With a relatively small but driven team, we regularly support one another with advice and tips. Here, no one hesitates to ask for help. Furthermore, we almost always carry out our projects in collaboration with other parties. This means that, as a team, we possess a wealth of in-house expertise. Working with us sometimes requires a degree of flexibility and, of course, a certain level of knowledge and expertise in landscape-related matters. But above all, it is important that you are passionate about contributing to the Frisian landscape.
