From a few hectares of typical Westland grape greenhouses to around 25 hectares of greenhouses today. This means that four greenhouses are used to grow vine tomatoes and one for asparagus in Berlikum. A lot has changed at the nursery over the years.  Too much to mention, but growing healthy and tasty produce is still close to our hearts. What’s more, we grow sustainably. All with one goal in mind: achieving the perfect taste and quality, so that you, the consumer, can fully enjoy the tomatoes grown in Berlikum. Kaaij Kwekerij also has another goal: to reach as many consumers as possible and encourage them to eat more tomatoes. After all, they are not only delicious in all sorts of dishes, but also incredibly healthy. Tomatoes are packed with antioxidants and contain plenty of vitamins and minerals. And a tomato is low in calories.
