Hello! Nice to meet you!

We are Huhtamaki Fiber Technology, the international R&D centre and machinery line developer for the multinational packaging company Huhtamaki. Our passion is developing sustainable packaging and associated production lines for the food packaging industry. In July, we moved to our new premises in Leeuwarden. Here, our modern test centre, pilot plant and various other departments are all under one roof. For us, it’s all about innovation – sustainable innovation! Not only because our customers in the key retail market demand this on a daily basis, but also because we strive for a world with sustainable packaging materials. A good example is our Fresh project, in which we present fully recyclable & compostable packaging for ready-made meals. And best of all: this packaging reduces CO2 emissions by 82% and produces no plastic waste!
