Frank Hettinga, founder of Hettinga Jachtservice, has been a passionate water sports enthusiast since he was a child.
He has now more than earned his spurs, both through his own involvement in sailing and stand-up paddleboarding, among other sports, and through the design (refinement) and construction of boats. Frank is one of the original team members who were involved in the development, construction and maintenance of De Kapiteinssloep. Together with Dorus Wajer, Frank helped build the sloop as it stands today. We are therefore particularly proud to be able to continue the Wajer heritage at our shipyard and to carry on building De Kapiteinssloep. Development continues, with hybrid Kapiteinssloepen and fully electric Kapiteinssloepen already on the water.
We work with a small team, which means communication lines are short and we can react quickly. We would like to take the hassle off your hands as an owner and offer you a full-service package: we arrange winter storage, collect and return the sloop, carry out maintenance, and ensure that you can enjoy the sloop again without a care in the spring.
