Smallingerland is a municipality in Friesland with over 56,000 inhabitants, easily accessible in the heart of the northern Netherlands, on the border of Groningen, Friesland and Drenthe. Thirteen villages are situated around our main town, Drachten, in the unique surroundings of the Frisian Woods. Here you will find a unique blend of urban, rural and waterfront areas. With around six hundred colleagues, we work to provide good facilities and a sustainable and safe living and working environment, with an eye for culture and a strong and innovative business community.
