Frisian Motors was founded in 2010. As a group of enthusiastic engineers, we had long been fascinated by the rise of electric transport. Anyone with an interest in the technology will certainly agree that electric is the future. ‘Electricity’ is easy to transport and manage. Energy storage is also becoming faster and more efficient. Given the rise of fully electric cars, there is certainly a trend towards them, and with it comes a growing awareness of the need to improve the environment. Although it will be several years before a fully mature electric car is available to everyone, we have specialised in affordable solutions that, in addition to the environmental aspect, simply offer many practical advantages.

After an extensive search for all possibilities both at home and abroad, we have identified unique opportunities to collaborate with a number of foreign manufacturers to develop a concept and work together on this challenge. By keeping the design and engineering in-house whilst outsourcing production, we are able to deliver high-quality products at a price comparable to that of petrol and diesel models. Frisian Motors remains in control and is responsible for the end product.
