Founded is a collaboration between knowledge institutions, the business community, provinces and local authorities in the Northern Netherlands, aimed at strengthening the northern start-up ecosystem. Numerous initiatives are flourishing within the vibrant start-up and scale-up ecosystem of the Northern Netherlands. It is therefore our mission to make the Northern Netherlands the place where start-ups and scale-ups tackle the global challenges of today and tomorrow.

With a founder-focused and data-driven approach, Founded in the North is committed to strengthening the northern start-up ecosystem. We organise a support network centred on the crucial life stages and milestones on the path to growth for start-ups. We draw on a wealth of experience, existing initiatives and national and international best practices to cultivate a thriving start-up community.
