About us
Frank Hettinga, founder of Hettinga Jachtservice, has been a passionate water sports enthusiast since his youth. He has since more than earned his spurs both in practising sports such as sailing and SUP himself, and in the design (refinement) and construction of boats. Frank is one of the original team members involved in the development, construction and maintenance of De Kapiteinssloep. Together with Dorus Wajer, Frank helped build the sloop as it stands today. We are therefore particularly proud to be able to continue the Wajer heritage at our shipyard and to carry on building De Kapiteinssloep. Because development continues: there are already hybrid Kapiteinssloepen and fully electric Kapiteinssloepen on the water.
We work with a small team, which means lines of communication are short and we can react quickly. We would like to take the hassle off your hands as an owner and offer you a full-service package: we arrange winter storage, collect and deliver the sloop, carry out maintenance, and ensure that you can enjoy the sloop again in the spring without a care in the world.
