Following the rapid growth of our business, we built a brand-new ice cream factory in Gorredijk in 2009. In 2019, this was significantly expanded once again. Starting from scratch gave us the opportunity to create a wonderful ice cream factory where our team of ice cream makers can work every day on producing fresh, artisanal ice cream for our ice cream vans, ice cream parlours, retail outlets and supermarkets across Europe.
Working with us is different every day. From being incredibly busy in glorious weather to developing new ice creams in winter. Or selling ice creams at the Netherlands’ biggest festivals or packing millions of ice creams on our packing lines. Our work is truly diverse. In winter we have around 20 colleagues, whilst in summer we have more than 100 employees on the payroll.
Our ice cream makers start making ice cream deep into the night. The matured mix is flavoured and, using our advanced ice cream machines, we can produce around 2,000 litres of ice cream per hour. By the morning, all the ice cream is ready and fresh for our ice cream van hire, or for one of the many events, or it goes to one of the ice cream parlours, shops or supermarkets.
