Our history
Chessa Metaalbewerking bv was founded in 1988 as a one-man business. Based in the centre of Sneek, it mainly carried out repair work. In 2016, the company was taken over by Wieger Miedema and Gerbrig Jansma. The name has remained unchanged. And the commitment to delivering craftsmanship and striving for 100% customer satisfaction has remained. The scope of our work has expanded enormously. We now manufacture complete machines to customer specifications. Our machinery has been expanded and consists of conventional and state-of-the-art CNC-controlled machines, featuring automatic feeding and transfer spindles for series production. However, we are also well-equipped to supply single units or small batches. After several relocations, the company has been based in new premises at Morseweg 13 in Joure since 2024.
Our team
Our team consists of 8 employees. Specialists in their field. Programming in Fagor, Fanuc or Heidenhain is part of our daily routine. We are supported in this by Fusion 360 and OneCNC. With these CAD/CAM systems, we can programme quickly and without errors. It is our challenge to remain at the forefront with our knowledge. We owe this to our customers. They are entitled to the smartest production method with the best quality at the lowest possible cost.
