As part of the central government and the Ministry of Justice and Security, the CJIB works to promote a safe and just society.
The CJIB plays a key role in upholding the rule of law in the Netherlands. The CJIB acts as the government’s collection and enforcement body and coordinates the enforcement process. In doing so, the CJIB makes a significant contribution to the credibility and authority of the government.
Everyone must be able to rely on the fact that decisions by the judiciary and public authorities, measures, sanctions and levies are actually enforced or collected.
