Bibliotheek Drachten | Smallingerland
- Internationals welcome
- Education, science and culture
Drachten | Smallingerland Library is an organisation where, with 30 staff members and 140 volunteers, we do much more than simply lend out books. Our aim is to help everyone become self-reliant and to support them in this.
Our library is a place for and by the community. We welcome people of all ages and are happy to support all kinds of library users. This is reflected in our courses and drop-in sessions on language and digital skills, our close collaboration with schools, and our social and educational activities. On our website, you can read more about our library’s development into an educational and social Mienskip Library, or Community Library. To support all our activities as effectively as possible, our organisation is structured around the following areas: Traditional Library, Youth & Education, Lifelong Learning, Culture: Programming & Activities. Operations, Marketing and Communications are supporting areas.
Come and work at a place where everyone is welcome!
